2026 Weber River Clean Up
The crew returned to the Weber River this past weekend, and once again our community showed up in a big way.
A total of 251 volunteers joined us to help clean and restore one of Utah’s most cherished fisheries. By the end of the day, volunteers had removed an incredible 9,860 pounds of trash from the Weber River corridor and surrounding public lands.
From families and first-time volunteers to dedicated anglers and conservation-minded community members, every person who attended played an important role in making a lasting impact on the river. The Weber continues to be one of Utah’s most popular fisheries, and keeping it healthy and clean takes all of us working together.
A special thank you goes to Upland Fly Shop for hosting this year's cleanup and Utah Stream Access Coalition for helping bring together volunteers who care deeply about the future of the river. Their continued support of conservation efforts on Utah's waters is greatly appreciated.
We would also like to recognize our logistics partners, Ace Disposal and Anytime Services, whose support helped make the event possible. Their assistance with dumpsters, waste removal, and portable restrooms ensured volunteers had the resources needed to focus on the important work of cleaning the river.
Events like these are only successful because of the generous sponsors, volunteers, and community partners who donate their time, resources, and energy. Every piece of trash removed helps improve habitat, protects wildlife, and creates a better experience for everyone who enjoys the Weber River.
Thank you to everyone who participated. Your efforts made a measurable difference, and we are grateful to have such an incredible community standing behind the mission of Fish For Garbage.
We look forward to seeing everyone at our next cleanup and continuing the work of protecting Utah's water, one piece of trash at a time.
