2026 Kamas Valley Clean Up
For our final cleanup of the summer, 144 volunteers joined us in the Kamas Valley and helped remove an amazing 3,080 pounds of trash from the mountains, rivers, reservoirs, and public lands throughout the area.
One of our goals this year was to expand the cleanup beyond the Mirror Lake Highway corridor and encourage volunteers to spread out into the surrounding rivers, reservoirs, and recreation areas. It was awesome to see so many people take that challenge seriously and head out to clean the places they personally enjoy.
As always, none of this happens without our volunteers. Whether you filled one bag or an entire truck, every piece of trash removed makes a difference. Thank you for giving up part of your day, getting your hands dirty, and helping take care of these incredible places.
A huge thank you to FishWest for once again hosting the event and giving us a great home base for the cleanup. We also want to thank Kamas Foodtown for providing doughnuts and helping us get the morning started right.

We also want to recognize all of our in-kind donors who provided gear and prizes for the opportunity drawing. Your generosity adds a lot of fun to these events and gives us another way to thank the volunteers who put in the work.
Kamas Valley marks our final cleanup of the summer, and we can’t thank everyone enough for making this season such a success. From our first cleanup to our last, our volunteers, sponsors, partners, and donors have continued to show up and make a real difference for Utah’s waterways and public lands.
But we’re not quite done with 2026 yet! We hope to see all of our volunteers, supporters, friends, and families at our annual fall fundraiser on November 6 at Uinta Brewing. It’s our chance to celebrate everything we accomplished together this year while raising money to support Fish For Garbage’s cleanup and watershed education programs in 2027.
Tickets are on sale now through the Fish For Garbage website and we anticipate the event will sell out, so reserve your spot early!
